Snowbrite DB: Whitener (TiO2, OB, UMB)
A whitener based on TiO2, optical brightener and ultramarine blue. It offsets the yellow tone of the resin and gives high opacity to white PVC products.

A brighter, cleaner white, batch after batch.
Snowbrite DB combines TiO2 for opacity, optical brightener (OB) for a brighter-looking white and ultramarine blue (UMB) to offset yellowish tones. All three are pre-blended in the right ratio, so operators weigh a single material.
Suited to products judged by their color, such as ceiling panels, profiles and sheets. We can adjust the blend to your whiteness target and the other pigments in your formulation.
Key features
- Bright, clean white with high opacity and hiding power
- Good dispersion in rigid and flexible PVC, minimal agglomerates
- Good thermal stability during high-temperature processing
- Good weather resistance, helps reduce yellowing and chalking from UV
- Good migration resistance in plasticized systems
Typical applications
- Rigid PVC: ceiling panels, profiles, sheets, pipes
- Flexible PVC
- PE and PP compounding and masterbatch
Frequently asked questions
What dosage of Snowbrite DB should I use?
Start at 2–3 phr. The optimum dosage depends on the whiteness target, opacity, and the other pigments and fillers in the formulation, and is confirmed through trials.
Does Snowbrite DB replace TiO2?
Snowbrite DB already contains TiO2, optical brightener and ultramarine blue, so it can replace weighing all three separately. The total TiO2 level still needs checking, especially for outdoor products.
