Raw Materials for PVC Conduit & Trunking
Conduit and cable trunking at high output, including high-filler formulations.
Common problems
- Conduit breaks when bent or installed
- Output drops when the filler level goes up
- Rough surfaces or black specks
- Formulation cost keeps rising
Typical formulation
Electrical conduit is often made with medium to high filler levels to control cost. The keys are a one-pack stabilizer designed for high filler, a CPE impact modifier so the conduit does not break when bent, and a balanced lubricant package to keep output high.
Recommended products
Vinora
Suspension PVC homopolymer in four K-value grades, for extrusion, injection, calendering and blow molding.
Calzora
Lead- and barium-free calcium zinc stabilizers, in powder and liquid form for rigid and soft PVC.
Plumbex
Lead-based stabilizers for pipe, roofing, ceiling, gutters, conduit and cable, in low-dust form.
Stannova
Liquid tin stabilizers for pipe, roofing, ceiling, gutters and clear rigid film.
Endura
Three impact modifier types for rigid PVC: ACR for outdoor use, CPE for pipe and conduit, MBS for clear film.
OX 316a
A high-density oxidized polyethylene (OPE) wax with a high melting point. Works as external lubricant and metal release agent, and helps control fusion.
TiO2
Titanium dioxide for opacity and whiteness, plus UV protection in outdoor applications.
Pigments & Optical Brightener
Optical brightener, ultramarine blue and mixed pigments for color matching. Color and whiteness stay on target for your product.
Compora
PVC compound in pellet form for injection and extrusion, from fittings and electrical boxes to cable, jars, gaskets and shoe soles.
