Raw Materials for Clear Rigid PVC Film
High clarity and good early color for clear rigid film and sheet.
Common problems
- Yellowish film or high haze
- Stress whitening when film is bent or thermoformed
- Plate-out on calender rolls
- Fish eyes and gels on the film surface
Typical formulation
Clear rigid and semi-rigid film needs K57 resin, a high-clarity stabilizer (tin or a clear CaZn grade), an MBS impact modifier that keeps clarity, and low plate-out lubricants. The right combination decides the film's haze and color.
