When to use a ready-to-process PVC compound

PVC compound already contains the resin, stabilizer, plasticizer (for soft grades) and other additives in pellet form. You can feed it straight into an injection machine or extruder without a mixer or an in-house compounding step.

Compound makes sense when your volume does not yet justify a mixer, when batch-to-batch quality must be very consistent, or when you want to enter a new product such as cable, gaskets or WPC without developing a formulation from scratch.
