PVC Cable Compound & Raw Materials
Cable compounds with stable heat aging and insulation properties, lead or lead-free.
Common problems
- Failing heat aging or volume resistivity tests
- Rough cable surface or specks
- An unsettled switch from lead to CaZn
- Flame-retardant compounds that are hard to process
Typical formulation
PVC cable compound consists of K65 or K70 resin, plasticizer, stabilizer (CaZn or lead), filler and, for FR cable, flame retardant. You can make your own compound with our resin and stabilizer, or use a ready-to-process cable compound.
Recommended products
Vinora
Suspension PVC homopolymer in four K-value grades, for extrusion, injection, calendering and blow molding.
Calzora
Lead- and barium-free calcium zinc stabilizers, in powder and liquid form for rigid and soft PVC.
Plumbex
Lead-based stabilizers for pipe, roofing, ceiling, gutters, conduit and cable, in low-dust form.
OX 316a
A high-density oxidized polyethylene (OPE) wax with a high melting point. Works as external lubricant and metal release agent, and helps control fusion.
Pigments & Optical Brightener
Optical brightener, ultramarine blue and mixed pigments for color matching. Color and whiteness stay on target for your product.
Snowbrite DB
A whitener based on TiO2, optical brightener and ultramarine blue. It offsets the yellow tone of the resin and gives high opacity to white PVC products.
Compora
PVC compound in pellet form for injection and extrusion, from fittings and electrical boxes to cable, jars, gaskets and shoe soles.
